Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establishing close coordination with Work For Progress (W4P) and different government departments and stakeholders to generate new ideas and innovative strategies.
  • Develop and edit communication materials like newsletters, blogs, press releases and similar materials in order to promote ActionAid’s work and its impact
  • Documentation of case studies of prototypes, processes, impact and lesson learnt reports.
  • Maintaining MIS and documentation of project activities and reports
  • Documentation and compilation of reports and impact stories for ActionAid, networks, donors and media.
  • Workshops, conferences, networking platforms meets would also be leveraged to disseminate published documents.
  • Online dissemination through video documentation of various facets of projects through own website, channels, online publication & news platforms.
  • Handling various social media platforms and regular updates.

Skills and Competencies

  • Be a Postgraduate in Communications.
  • Have at least 5 years’ experience of managing livelihood projects, out of which minimum one year should have been with a grassroots development organization.
  • Must possess comprehensive understanding of the region.
  • Have basic knowledge of macro/micro development issues relating to India.
  • Knowledge of issue-based campaigns, experience in research work.
  • Exposure in debate/discussions on ideas of State, social movement, identities etc.
  • Have experience of working with vulnerable groups of the society.
  • have good communication and project proposal writing skills.
  • Knowledge of local language is mandatory.
  • Be a good team player, gender sensitive, having conviction and skills for the empowerment of the poor and disadvantaged groups.
  • Have proficiency in all applications of MS Office, especially Word, Excel & Power Point.
  • Be willing to travel.

Salary & Benefits

Approx. INR 6.00 Lakhs CTO (Cost to Organisation) per annum - this includes the PF contribution.


It also includes other benefits-Group Medical Insurance with coverage of Staff & Dependents; Personal Accident Insurance of staff and Gratuity is payable as per the law and norms of the Organisation.
